Vice-President of the Armenian National Assembly to attend Iranian ex-President’s funeral

On January 9, Vice-President of the Armenian National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov left for Iran to attend the funeral of former President Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
On January 11, in the National Primacy of Tehran the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the Head of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran Sepuh Archbishop Sargsyan. During the meeting the interlocutors highlighted the unique role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in preservation and spreading of Armenian identity, spiritual, moral and national values.
