Events Dedicated to 102nd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

On April 23 and 24, a number of events were held in Tehran dedicated to 102nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
On April 23, Ambassador Toumanian accompanied by the staff of the embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Islamic Republic of Iran and Sepuh Sargsyan the prelate of Tehran Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop participated in a prayer for intercession and laid flowers at the Armenian Genocide monument near Saint Sarkis Cathedral in Tehran to the memory of the one and a half million innocent victims.
On April 24, Ambassador Toumanian and the staff of the embassy participated in the Mass served at the Saint Sarkis Cathedral in Tehran. The ceremony was also attended by the leaders of the national governing structures, associations and organizations of the Iranian Armenians.
On the same day, Iranian Armenians staged a protest outside the Turkish Embassy in Tehran to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia and Embassy staff also participated in special evening of remembrance on behalf of the Armenian Genocide victims organized at Ararat sport and cultural complex in Tehran.
