Ambassador Toumanian Visited East Azerbaijan Province

On May 22, Mr. Artashes Toumanian - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, made a working visit to East Azerbaijan Province and had meetings with the repressentatives of municipal authority and business circles.

During the meeting with Governor Majid Khodabakhshi, Ambassador Toumanian spoke about the bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, as well as the new approaches to domestic and foreign policy of the Armenian Government, the recently signed economic agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran, ways to improve investment opportunities in favorable business environment of Armenia.

Ambassador Toumanian had a meeting with Mr. Seyyed Mohammad Ali Al-Hashemi - friday prayer of Tabriz. Mr. Toumanian touched upon a number of issues and current trends of the Armenian foreign policy especially with regard to Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.

Ambassador Toumanian had a meeting with Mr. Samad Hassanzadei – President of East Azerbaijan Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Chamber, heads of economic associations and provincial businessmen.
