Ambassador Toumanian’s Meeting with the Head of “Kerman Development Organization” Council

On June 13, Mr. Artashes Toumanian - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, had a meeting with Mr. Valiollah Afkhamirad – President of “Kerman Development Organization” council, which is engaged in great investment and business projects in Kerman, Sirjan and Bam.

Taking into account the free trade agreement signed by Iran and Eurasian Economic Union and high level of relations between Armenia and EU, as well as the favourable business environment in Armenia, Ambassador Toumanian said that new opportunities have been created for Iranian companies in terms of real economic activities in Armenia. Mr. Toumanian also added that Iranian capital could be beneficial for Armenian investment projects and re-exporting products to neighboring countries through Armenia.

Mr. Afkhamirad presented the activities of the Organization which owned assets in several companies. He said that Organization is ready to expand the scope of its activities working with Armenian companies.
