Director of National Museum of Iran Received by the Ambassador

On June 26, the Director of National Museum of Iran, Mr. Nokandeh, was Armenian Ambassador’s guest.

Mr. Toumanian and Mr. Nokandeh exchanged views about the bilateral cultural ties between Armenia and Iran, particularly in the field of museums, as History Museum of Armenia and National Museum of Iran both have potentials to expand cooperation.

Two years ago National Museum of Iran exhibited historical relics of Armenia. The exhibition was held for three months under the title of “Iran and Armenia: memory of the land” which provided a firm base for future cooperation between two museums.

In this regard, Mr. Ambassador noted, that in the coming September a conference will be organized by History of Museum of Armenia in Yerevan on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the establishment of the Museum, the title of the conference is “History Museum of Armenia – 100. The Museum and Today’s Challenges”, and the Director of National museum of Iran is also invited.
