Meeting with the Chairman of the Commission of the Economy in the Parliament

On November 10, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Artashes Toumanian, had a meeting with Mr. Elias Hazrati, the Chairman of the Commission of the Economy of the Parliament.

During the meeting, the wide scope of bilateral relations between Armenia and Iran, particularly infrastructural joint projects were discussed. Mr. Toumanian pointed out the construction of Armenia-Iran third transmission line of electricity in this regard and its effect on boosting the volume of gas-electricity exchange, fostering of bilateral economic ties and creating a stable system of energy.

The Armenian Ambassador had remarks on EEU–Iran Free Trade Agreement and its positive outcomes which can cause new opportunities in economic sphere. The interlocutors stressed the good will of the authorities of both countries in developing future political, economic and cultural relations.
