34th Tehran International Book Fair to run until May 20

On May 12, Arsen Avagyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the R. of Armenia to the I.R. of Iran visited the 34^th Tehran International Book Fair and met with Yaser Ahmadvand, Vice President of Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance (MCIG) and President of the 34th Tehran International Book Fair and Ismail Janalipour, The director of the committee of foreign publishers.

During the meeting the Armenian Ambassador pointing to the historical and cultural close ties of two countries urged to use the potentials in translations and publishing spheres for expanding the relations.

Ismail Janalipour, the director of the committee of foreign publishers elaborated the fund of the MCIG to be granted to foreign publishers wishing to translate farsi books, the grant for Children and teen literature is 1000 Euros and for novels is 3000 Euros, moreover the intellectual property rights of the publisher will be paid by Iranian government. The interested Armenian translators and publishers can have this type of supports.
