Tehran Armenian community commemorates 105th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia

To commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Independence of the First Republic of Armenia an array of festive were organized during 24-28 May in Iranian Armenian community centers in Tehran.

  • On May 25, a key note speech was held in Armenian “Charmahal” Society, in the “H. Toumanyan” hall of that center.
  • On May 26, by initative of “Ararat” sport and cultural organization and in collaboration with the “Armenian Industrialists” Society an out-door gala was held in “Ararat” Complex. The Children teatromusical troupe of “Ararat”, “Ararat” choir, “Ararat” dance ensemble had performances during the event. Yeva Yeganyan and Mavr Mkrtchyan, invited singers from Armenia had concerts as well in the evening.
  • On May 26, “Vogoo mardakoch” dance performance went on stage in Armenian “Raffi” Complex, the event was organized to honor a couple of occasions; the 35th anniversary of “Zartonk” dance ensemble establishment, commemoration of 108th anniversary of Armenian Genocide, commemoration of 105th anniversary of Independence of the First Republic of Armenia and epic battles of May.
  • On May 27, “Sipan” Society in its “N.Elsaian” sport hall extensively honored the occasion with keynote speech an artistic performances.
  • On May 28, the concluding main evening of the array of the festive of 105th anniversary of the Independence of the First Republic of Armenia was held in “Artsakh” Hall of Armenian “Nayiri” sport/cultural Society, enriched with folk songs and speeches. The concluding event had been organized by Armenian “Nayiri” sport/cultural Society in collaboration with “Anahit” Society, the branch of “Armenian Woman” Association.

Sergey Grigoryan, Counselor of the Armenian Embassy, had his keynote remarks on the occasion in this event.

Counselor Sergey Grigoryan and Consul Arthur Sargsyan from the Embassy of the R. of Armenia in the I.R. of Iran attended the mentioned events.
