SRC chairman received Iranian delegation

Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan received a delegation led by Advisor to the President of Iran and Secretary of the Free Zones High Council of Iran Hojatollah Abdolmaleki.

During the meeting, the parties discussed several issues aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation. Specifically, they addressed mechanisms intended for the swift and effective resolution of issues that arise between the border checkpoints of Meghri and Nordooz. They also explored the possibility of eliminating duties for truck entry into the country, in addition to enhancing the feasibility of electronic information exchange processes.

Hojatollah Abdolmaleki emphasized the significance of close cooperation between the customs authorities of Armenia and Iran, with the goal of boosting mutual trade, increasing goods turnover between the two countries, and promoting Armenian-Iranian economic collaboration.

Following the discussion, an agreement was reached to continue holding workshops in order to achieve tangible results.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reiterated their mutual willingness to expand Armenian-Iranian cooperation within the customs sector.
