Armenian deputy minister of Economy visited Iran

Ashkhen Shirvanyan, deputy minister of Economy of the R. of Armenia, heading a delegation traveled to Tehran to discuss with Iranian officials to build a livestock quarantine and inspection center for export from Armenia and transit via Iran. The center will be constructed in Armenian Syunik province in Meghri border area.

During her 3 days stay in Iran (8-11 September) the Armenian deputy minister had meetings with Vahid Salehi, deputy minister of agriculture Jihad and the head of Iran Veterinary Organization and Seyed Hoseyn Hoseyni, deputy minister of agriculture Jihad and the head of Iran Fisheries Organization.

Both sides discussed the prospects of expanding bilateral cooperation and concluded some agreement in this regard.

The Armenian delegation also visited the livestock quarantine and inspection center in Bushehr.
