The delegation led by Minister Narek Mkrtchyan participated in the business forum held in Tehran between Armenian and Iranian businessmen

During the visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Narek Mkrtchyan the Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs along with the delegation comprised of Armenian businessmen participated in a forum to expand the economic cooperation between Iran and Armenia in Tehran. 15 representative of various business fields of Armenia discussed with their Iranian partners the opportunities for the development of further cooperation

In this event, the Armenian Minister Narek Mkrtchyan, Rafael Gevorgyan, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and Dr.Alireza Asgarian Iranian Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare and other officials as well had their remarks .

A number of issues of mutual interest in the fields of employment, development of the labor market and trade expansion possibilities of business circles of both countries were discussed.

Mkrtchyan for his part praised Iran’s interest in boosting trade ties with Armenia, saying: “In the few days that we have been in Iran, we established paths of cooperation more than expected, and this is a source of satisfaction, we can move things forward actively based on the best interests of both countries and peoples.”

Within the framework of the event, working groups were formed in order to clarify the future course of cooperation.
