Meeting of the Armenian delegation of labor ministry with the head of Social Welfare Organization of Iran

During their stay in Tehran, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan, Head of the Unified Social Service (USS) Edward Petrosyan and other members of the delegation had a meeting with the director of the Social Welfare Organization of Iran, Ali Mohamad Ghaderi.

The head of the Unified Social Service (USS) of Armenia, Edward Petrosyan, presented the activities and the role of the USS in Armenian and possibilities for further cooperation between two organizations. Issues as starting joint programs aimed at labor exchange, development of secondary professional education, economic empowerment of persons with disabilities and women were discussed.

Head of the State Welfare of Iran, Ali Mohamad Ghaderi, presented details related to the activities and functions of the organization, noting that the activities of both the USS of Armenia and their organization are aimed at providing social support in all stages of a person's life. According to the latter, the organization provides about 160 types of services to citizens.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to move the discussed issues to the practical stage.
