On November 1, Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan at the head of a delegation arrived in Tehran.

During his two days’ visit, the Armenian Minister had meetings with some ministers of the Iranian cabinet where the Armenia-Iran economic relations were discussed.

In the meeting with Reza Ardakanian, Iranian Energy Minister and co-chair of the Armenia-Iran Intergovernmental Joint Commission, the joint projects in the field of energy were discussed.

Mr. Papikyan had a meeting with Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, the Iranian Oil Minister, the interlocutors discussed the ways to make the gas-electricity cooperation more efficient.

During the meeting with Mohammad Eslami, the Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development, the project of the north-south road construction and some obstacles relevant to bilateral trade of goods and services were discussed.

The Armenian Minister and his delegation also visited the 19th International Electricity Exhibition on their first day of arrival where they got introduced with some products of Iranian manufacturers.

The guests from Armenia paid a visit to the Armenian Embassy in Tehran as well.
