International conference on “Woman in orient”

On sept. 22-23, an international academic conference was held in the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the R. of Armenia with the topic of: “Woman in orient”

The participating scholars and academics delivered profound and rich lectures on the theme chronologically starting from old times up to contemporary period. Woman in orient was analyzed from the aspects of linguistics, folklore, art, archaeology and history.

Later the sessions were followed by question and answers and discussions. The papers presented in the conference will be published consequently, dedicated to the women who were fallen during the battles.
