Armenian PM’s spouse visited Iran

Anna Hakobyan, spouse of the Prime minister of the R. of Armenia visited I. R. of Iran to attend “ The first congress for women of influence” in Tehran.

On January 18, Anna Hakobyan along with Arsen Avagyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the R. of Armenia to the I. R. of Iran had meeting with Jamileh Sadat Allamolhoda, spouse of the President of the I.R. of Iran and Ensieh Khazali, Vice-president for Women and Family affairs. During the meeting A. Hakobyan stressed the importance of this event in gathering the women from all over the world to discuss the pressing issues and in establishing peace in the region and the world. Hakobyan as well pointed out the importance of this congress for the Armenian side, as it contributes to enhance the interactions and further development of the relations of two friendly countries. Hakobyan also had remarks on her initiative, the campaign of “Women for peace” which failed due to the 44-day war in 2020.

Armenian PM’s spouse attended the evening organized by Ebrahim Raisi, President of Iran, on the occasion of the congress in participation with all invited delegations and first ladies. In this evening, A. Hakopayn in her speech appreciated the President of Iran and the Spouse of the president for this event and gathering the influential women and this unique opportunity.

President of Iran, E. Raisi in his speech in the evening stressed and assured that this congress will contribute the promotion of the role and impact of women. President thanked the participants of the Congress.

On the sideline of the Congress, Anna Hakobyan had a tour to Qom city and the Fatemeh Masoumeh Holy Shrine. Spouse and daughter of the President of Iran, Jamileh Sadat Allamolhoda and Reyhaneh Raisi were accompanying Hakobyan. During the visit R. Raisi extensively explained Hakobyan about the history and background of Qom city and the Holy Shrine. Later Anna Hakobyan had meeting with Jamileh Sadat Allamolhoda, spouse of the President of the I.R. of Iran.
