Opening ceremony of “FlyOne Armenia” flights in Tehran

On June 6, the ribbon cutting ceremony of the operation of Armenian FlyOne Armenia airline Yerevan-Tehran-Yerevan flights was held in Tehran.

Officials from the I.R. of Iran, R. of Armenia and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the R. of Armenia to the I.R. of Iran, Arsen Avagyan, were present in the opening ceremony.

The Armenian airline Yerevan-Tehran-Yerevan flights will operate from “Zvartnots” international airport in Yerevan to “Imam Khomeini” international airport in south of Tehran four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, offering affordable prices and convenient schedules for travelers.

FlyOne Armenia Chairman of the Board Aram Ananyan pointing to the objectives of launching direct flights between two countries underlined the impact of increase in the flights on spheres of economy, tourism and culture. He noted: “The flights to Tehran have special significance for us. Since the first days of the activities of our company we have considered the launch of these flights crucial for our strategy of development, in addition to Yerevan-Tehran-Yerevan roundtrip flights, the company can provide the opportunity of connecting transit flights onward to European and Russian cities. In the long-term goals of Flyone Company, apart from Tehran, other cities such as Isfahan, Tabriz, and Kish Island are also investigated”.

Later, after the opening ceremony the guests were received in the Prelacy of Armenia in Tehran hosted by the Armenian Prelate, Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian.

By the initiative of the Armenian Embassy in Tehran, the next day of the ribbon cutting ceremony on June 7, a press conference was held in the Embassy of the R. of Armenia on this occasion, during which Aram Ananyan, FlyOne Armenia Chairman of the Board, briefed on the activities of the airline and answered the questions of Iranian and Iranian-Armenian media representatives.

FlyOne Armenia was established in 2021 and offers low fare flights to a number of destinations as: Paris, Moscow, Milan, Lyon, Dusseldorf, Larnaca, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Samara, Novosibirsk, Beirut, Dubai, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Tbilisi and Kishinev (Moldova).

Flyone’s air fleet consists of Airbus A319 and A320 aircrafts with 180 and 144 seats. All planes are new and have the highest security standards designated by IATA and EASA.
