Grigor Hakobyan, Armenian Ambassador to Iran, met with Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs.

The interlocutors discussed issues on the Armenia-Iran bilateral relations in political, economic, infrastructure, energy and other spheres, regional developments were touched upon as well.

Armenian Ambassador congratulated the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and noted that the deepening of relations with Iran, anchored on mutual respect and trust, is of particular importance for the Armenian government and people.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister noted that the development of relations with Armenia is of particular importance in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for which all prerequisites exist.

The senior Iranian diplomat noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to maintain its clear position on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the immutability of the region's geopolitics.
