27.11.2017 • 127th Anniversary of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) in Tehran

On November 27, Mr. Sahak Yeghiazaryan, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, took part in a celebration dedicated to the 127th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (also known as Dashnaktsutyun) in Tehran. Congratulatory speeches were made by T. Sepuh S. Arch. Sargsyan, Primate of the Tehran Diocese and S. Abnousyan, a representative of "Alik" Armenian daily newspaper based in Tehran. Artistic performances were also held on this occasion.  

25.11.2017 • Another Scientific Event Held within the Framework of “Armenia and Iran: Memory of the Land” Exhibition

On November 25, another scientific event was held in the framework of the exhibition “Armenia and Iran: Memory of the Land” and lectures were given by Miqayel Badalyan, head of ''Karmir Blur'' branch of ''Erebuni'' Historico-Archaeological Museum-Reserve and Ervand Grekyan, doctor of sciences (history), associate professor and leading researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. Mr. Artashes Toumanian, Ambassador of Armenia to Iran, T. Sepuh S. Arch. Sargsyan, Primate of the Tehran Diocese, Jebrael Nokandeh, Director of National Museum of Iran, Sahak Yeghiazaryan, Counsellor and Artur Hakobyan, the Third Secretary of the Embassy were present at this event.

On November 22 and 23, Armenia Fund’s “Fruitful Artsakh” Telethon was held in Iran. The proceeds from the pan-Armenian event will help boost economy in Artsakh.  

22.11.2017 • Ambassador Toumanian Received Iranian Mass Media Representatives

On November 22, Ambassador Toumanian received Iranian Mass Media representatives at the Embassy of Armenia to Iran. The Mass Media representatives are going to have three-day visit to Armenia. The aim of this initiative that was managed by State Tourism Committee at the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments and the Embassy of Armenia to Iran is to enhance awareness of the Armenian culture and tourism infrastructure.  

01.11.2017 • Ambassador Toumanian’s Visit to Razavi Khorasan Province

On October 31 and November 1, Mr. Artashes Toumanian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, made a two-day working visit to Razavi Khorasan Province and had meetings with Alireza Rashidian, Governor General of Khorasan Razavi Province, Ghasem Taghizadeh Khamesi, Mayor of Mashhad and representatives of the Chamber of Trade, Industry, Mines and Agriculture. During the meetings, cooperation opportunities in the fields of economy, culture, science and education between Armenia and Iran were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the issues of further development of tourism, aviation, Information Interchange and reciprocal visits.

On October 29, Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), visited "Armenia and Iran․ Memory of the Land" joint exhibition organized by the History Museum of Armenia and National Museum of Iran in Tehran.

10.10.2017 • Prime Minister Meets with Iranian Oil and Energy Ministers

On the second day of his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan met with Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangane and Energy Minister Sattar Mahmoodi. During the meetings, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector and stated with confidence that the two neighboring States have great opportunities for interaction. The parties expressed confidence that the official visit of Armenia’s Prime Minister will give new impetus to the mutually beneficial bilateral relations. The Iranian side said to be interested in expanding and deepening ties with Armenia. Issues related to Gas for Electricity Program expansion, the agenda of the upcoming sitting of the intergovernmental commission, the Meghri hydropower plant program and Armenia-Iran-Turkmenistan trilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

In conclusion of his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan visited the St Sargis Armenian Church in Tehran.
