Visit of the Diplomats to Tarbiat Modares University

On October 25, Armenian Embassy officers Artur Hakobyan and Garik Grigoryan met with the Director of International Scientific Cooperation of Tarbiat Modares University (TMU), Associate Professor Hamid Saeedi and Professor of Industrial Biotechnology Abbas Shojaosadati, the head of the Student Affairs Unit of TMU.

Mr. Saeedi made a presentation about the TMU and its academic activities. He emphasized that the university currently holds the 400th place in the world according to the CWTS Leiden Ranking and is among the top 5 universities in Iran. The TMU operates its own technological park.

Mr. Hakobyan talked about Armenian leading universities and scientific fields, particularly IT, health, architecture, engineering, art. He also suggested to hold a special lecture about the foreign policy of Armenia by Ambassador Artashes Toumanian for TMU’s International Relations students. The initiative was welcomed by the Iranian counterparts.

After the meeting, the diplomats made a short trip around TMU compounds and visited a biotechnology laboratory.
