Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs visited Technical & Vocational Training organization in Alborz province

As part of the visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Oct., 30 the delegation led by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Narek Mkrtchyan, visited the Instructor Training Center of Technical & Vocational Training Organization in Alborz province, had meeting with the general director of the center, Mehrdad Azimi, the staff and toured the center in order to be introduced with the facilities and capabilities of the center.

Both sides exchanged views on areas of cooperation, in this regard Narek Mkrtchyan referring to the functions and priorities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, noted that cooperation with Iran is also highly important in medium professional and craft areas. Mehrdad Azimi briefly presented the main directions of the center's activities. According to the latter, the main works in the fields of industry, agriculture, service provision, as well as art and culture are being carried out according to international standards.

In this context, the possibility of establishing a Technical & Vocational Training Center in Syunik (together with the Ministry of Education and Culture) was considered, which will also contribute to the exchange of experience and joint training between the two countries for midlevel skilled jobs.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to form an appropriate working group in order to discuss the issue and sign a memorandum.
