Armenian labor Minister met with the Vice President for Women & Family Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran

During the visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan along with the delegation had a meeting with Ms. Ensieh Khazali, Vice President for Women & Family Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the officials of the Iranian office.

In this meeting the participants briefed each side about the policy and activities done pertaining to the women and family affairs in their societies.

The Armenian Minister noted that the Government of Armenia has implemented measures for empowerment of families and women aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and employment in sectors with high economic productivity particularly in rural remote areas.

Ms. Khazali presented details about the programs of their office aimed at empowering women and families, single mothers, newlyweds and families living in remote areas as well offering the Armenian side to develop cooperation in this direction as well.

During the meeting, the possibility of creating joint online platform was also discussed, where Armenian and Iranian women will have the opportunity to present and sell their products.
