Armenian and Iranian Foreign Ministries held political consultation meeting

On Nov. 20, a political consultation periodic meeting was held between Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan and his Iranian counterpart Ali Bagheri kani in Tehran. Hossein Amirabdollahian, Foreign Minister of the I.R. of Iran, received Mnatsakan Safaryan and the Armenian delegation as well.

Both sides discussed points pertaining to the recent active interaction between Armenia and Iran, the course of the implementation of previous agreed issues, ways for ensuring the security in the region as well as in political, economic and trade spheres and issues regarding cooperation in various fields.

Issues regarding bilateral projects in trade and economy and further cooperation for mutual benefit had been discussed in the meeting with Mehdi Safari, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy.

During the meetings M. Safaryan had presented the stance of Armenia regarding the settlement of N.Karabagh dispute and relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
