International Academic Conference on Iranian cultural heritage in Caucasus

The Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republics of Iran in the Republic of Armenia in cooperation with the Institute of Oriental Studies at Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University and the Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts named after "Mesrop Mashtots" )MATENADARAN(, are holding an international academic conference. The topic is:Iranian cultural heritage in CaucasusThe conference includes a wide range of historical, literary and cultural studies and various aspects of cultural heritage of Iran in Caucasian region. The main themes and topics of the conference are:

Historical, literary and cultural relations between Iran and Caucasus
Tangible monuments of Iranian culture (mosques, fortresses and other exemplars of Iranian architecture) in Caucasus.
Iranian inscriptions in Caucasus
Iranian ethnic groups settled in Caucasus (Ossetians, Tats, Talysh people)
Comparative studies of Iranian and Caucasian languages
Old Ganja as the Iranian spiritual and cultural center in south Caucasus
