Armenia Police delegation visited Iran

An Armenian police delegation headed by Police Colonel Armen Mkrtchyan, Head of the Police Headquarters of the R. of Armenia visited Tehran on 19-21 Dec., Police Col. Vardan Vardanyan, Head of the General Department of Criminal police and Armen Sedrakyan, Deputy of Department of the International Cooperation of RA police were accompanying Col. Mkrtchyan.

The Armenian delegation during this visit had meetings with Majid Mirahmadi, Iran’s Deputy Interior Minister for Security & Police Affairs, Hossein Mahdavi, Head of the General Security Department of the Ministry and Brigadier General Hadi Shirzad, Iran’s Head of International Affairs of Police and Director General of Interpol and visited the police educational and training complex as well. During the meetings the sides discussed issues on cooperation to fight against transnational organized crimes, drug trafficking, bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and professional trainings courses for RA police in Iranian training centers.

The visit of Armenian delegation was concluded by signing the minutes of the meeting between the Armenia Police and Law Enforcement Command of the I.R. of Iran in fight against crimes and to boost bilateral cooperation.
