Yerevan and Tehran declared Sister Cities

Hrachya Sargsyan, Mayor of Yerevan, heading a delegation had an official visit to Tehran. During this visit Mayor of Yerevan had meeting with his counterpart Alireza Zakani, Tehran Mayor. On January 18, the counterparts signed an agreement according which Yerevan and Tehran were declared sister cities.

During the meeting Sargsyan and Zakani stressing the importance of developing the cooperation between two capitals pointed out the existing capacities for further collaborations and signed a document for launching cooperation in areas of transportation, urban economy and development, culture and environment.
