Poem recitation night for Persian-speaking diplomats

To honor the Persian poetry and literature Asian Mayors Forum (AMF) in cooperation with Tehran Municipality’s Deputy of International Affairs on February 5 held a poem recitation night for Persian-speaking diplomats.

Hamidreza Gholamzadeh, Secretary General of AMF, in his speech welcoming the attendants also thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for organizing the evening adding that it is possible to hold this type of events in the countries whose ambassadors are presented in this evening.

Gholam Ali Hadad Adel, President of “Academy of Persian Language and Literature” and “Saadi Foundation” in his remarks stressed the importance of establishing a society of Persian-speaking diplomats for preserving the Farsi language.

Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, Cultural Counsellor of India and Garik Grigoryan, Second Secretary of the Armenian Embassy had performances in the evening.
