Armenian Environment minister met with the Head of the Department of Environment of Iran

In the sidelines of the International Conference on combating sand and dust storms, the Environment minister of the R. of Armenia, Hakob Simidyan had meeting with Ali Salagegheh, vice president and the head of the Department of Environment of the I.R. of Iran on Sept.11.

In the meeting Simidyan appreciating the Iranian counterpart for the invitation and hospitality stressed the importance of the collaboration between two friendly countries of the region. Later the interlocutors exchanged views on the regional and global environmental issues. Both sides noted the expansion of collaboration pertaining to the issues of Arax River basin and the improvement of the quality of the water of the river.

In order to stablish a more boosted cooperation on environmental issues the Armenian minister, Simidyan invited Salagegheh the head of the Department of Environment of the I.R. of Iran to pay a visit to the R. of Armenia.
