Armenian ambassador visited Tehran University of Medical Sciences complex

Arsen Avagyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Iran, on Sunday, June 30 2024, while visiting the Research Institute of Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), met with Dr. Hossein Ghenaati, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Ayati, the president and vice president of international affairs of the university.

In this meeting, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Nekofar, the director of international relations of the university, Dr. Arpi Manoukian, the international vice president of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, and Dr. Masoumeh Majidi, a member of the university's scientific cooperation desk with Armenian universities and scientific centers, were also present.

The focus of the Armenian ambassador's talks with university officials was on cooperation with Armenian universities in the fields of health policy and setting up joint pharmaceutical factories and knowledge-based companies.

Before this meeting, the Ambassador of Armenia visited the Research Institute of Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment of the University and the Advanced Clinical Skills Training Center and the products and equipment available in this center.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences is one of the oldest academic institutions of medical sciences in Iran, which was established in 1850. This university now has more than 10 faculties in various fields of medicine and about 20 research institutes in the field of disease, pharmaceuticals and equipment research.
