Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran

On September 10, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Mohammad Hassan Sheikholeslami.

Interlocutors touched upon the issues of the bilateral agenda and regional developments.

Minister Mirzoyan welcomed the participation of the Iranian side in the "Yerevan Dialogue" international forum and the exchange of views.

Both sides emphasized the importance of cooperation in directions of mutual interest, in line with the high-level political dialogue between the two neighboring and friendly countries.

Interlocutors touched upon the regional issues. Views were exchanged on the efforts made in the direction of establishing lasting stability and peace in the South Caucasus, and in this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia touched upon the peace process with Azerbaijan. In the context of unblocking regional transport and economic communications, the imperative of unconditional respect for the principles underlying the concept of the "Crossroads of Peace" project, particularly territorial integrity and sovereignty, was emphasized, and Ararat Mirzoyan highly appreciated the firm position of the Iranian side in that regard.
