Grigor Hakobyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Iran visited the National Library and Archives of the I.R. of Iran (NLAI)

Grigor Hakobyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Iran visited the National Library and Archives of the I.R. of Iran (NLAI) and met with the Gholamreza Amirkhani, the president of NLAI. Armenian Ambassador toured the organization and got acquainted with the literary works and archive of the center and made a note in the guestbook of NLAI.

During the meeting, the parties outlined the Armenia-Iran intercultural ties, in particular, cooperation in the fields of ancient manuscripts, archives and national libraries of the two countries.

An agreement was reached to establish an “Armenian corner” in NLAI in possible future in order to present books on the history and cultural heritage of Armenia.

Ahead of the “Book Donation Day” in Armenia, Armenian Ambassador presented Amirkhani the album book of “Specimen of Qajar Art of Matenadaran” authored by Yvette Tajarian, the senior researcher at the Department of Oriental Studies at Matenadaran (Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts of Armenia).
