Ambassador Grigor Hakobyan met with Mohammad Javad Zarif, Vice President for Strategic Affairs of Iran. The strategic directions of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran and the need to ensure regional security and stability was discussed.

The interlocutors emphasized the need to promote peace and mutually beneficial partnerships in the region based on the principles of respect for territorial integrity and national sovereignty of states.

The Ambassador of Armenia and the Vice President of Iran also discussed the prospects for expanding Armenia-Iran economic and energy cooperation, reaffirming the importance of developing and implementing long-term programs.
