Meeting of the Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran and the Head of the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On October 13, in Tehran, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Davit Karapetyan met with Saeed Khatibzadeh, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, Head of the Center for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Iran and the rich bilateral agenda. The sides stressed the importance of implementing initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation in the economic, cultural and educational spheres.

The interlocutors also touched upon recent regional developments, highlighting the importance of peace institutionalization in the region as a result of the Washington agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Davit Karapetyan and Saeed Khatibzadeh discussed possible areas for further enhancing cooperation, touching upon the prospects of collaboration within the frameworks of the "Yerevan Dialogue" and the "Tehran Dialogue" conferences, as well as the potential for expanding cooperation between Center for Political and International Studies of Iran and the Diplomatic School of Armenia.
