Conference on EEU-Iran Trade in ICCIMA

On November 5, a joint conference was held in the center of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA). The main theme of the conference was the commercial opportunities in the light of EEU (Eurasian Economic Union) and Iran trade agreement. The conference was held by collaboration between the Armenian Embassy, ICCMA and Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce.

The keynote speaker was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Iran, Artashes Toumanian. Representatives from Iranian Foreign Ministry and “Aras” free trade zone were participating in the conference.

In his speech, Mr. Toumanian pointed out the main issues on Armenia – Iran trade cooperation, developments and facilitated business circumstances regarding doing business in Armenia and the creation of easy business situation for Iranian businessmen regarding practicing commerce with EEU countries after signing of the preferential trade agreement between member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran, boosting of Armenia - Iran trade cooperation in the light of the agreement.

Some short clips about the business and investments in Armenia were shown also during the conference.

In the last part of the conference Mr. Ambassador answered to the questions of the audience, who were Iranian businessmen/women interested in doing business with Armenia.
