Armenia, Iran ink program on cultural cooperation

On May 3, Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (ESCS) of the Republic of Armenia received the delegation headed by Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, President of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) of the Islamic Republic of Iran. ESCS Deputy Ministers Artur Martirosyan, Alfred Kocharyan, Daniel Danielyan and Ambassador of the I.R. of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani were also present at the meeting.

During the visit "2024-2027 program on cultural cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran” was signed. On the Armenian side, the program was signed by Deputy Minister Artur Martirosyan.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan, welcoming the guests, highlighted the existing cooperation between Armenia and Iran in various directions and expressed readiness to deepen it, emphasizing on the "2024-2027 program on cultural cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran” she noted that cooperation in the field of culture has a special place in the interstate relations between two countries. During the meeting, a number of other issues related to the further strengthening of relations between Armenia and Iran in the fields of education and science and development of the cooperation in various fields were also discussed.
